A Bite out of the Big Apple

Josh and I kissed Double H goodbye for 2 days and took a bus to New York City. We met up with his friend Kylene (they met at the Holy Given Missions school this past summer). She was in the city attending a writing course and so it worked out perfectly for us to get together with her. It was awesome to finally meet Kylene and to run around the city with her. She was staying with a couple in their lavish apartment, and so Josh and I stayed there too. This apartment was more like a house and took up a whole floor. It was very extravagant and the owners Kara and John (who dig wells in Africa) were so kind to us.
We toured around the city and even made it up the Empire State Building. Although, I only looked at it from the ground, I did enjoy the Flat Iron Building and think it might be the cutest building that I will ever see. Central Park is beautiful though as I did look around on that Monday afternoon at all the people lazying around in the grass, walking dogs and playing flutes, I did wonder if they have jobs or go to school? Perhaps that is the mystery of Central Park.
Josh and I are now back at Double H, and currently trying to figure out how to cash our American pay cheques. Alumni week begins tomorrow which is about 4 days of hosting camp to young adults who are now too old to attend camp, but are back for some more fun. The campers this week are 19-21 years old so it will be very different. Please continue to pray for the impossible, as our time at camp comes to an end.
